Mobile Device Notice and Acknowledgement

DEVICE SECURITY FEATURES

For the protection of your mobile device(s), YOUR DEVICE RENTAL PROVIDER has partnered with third party service providers ("Providers") to assist with the recovery of any mobile device(s) which are lost, stolen, or attempted to be traded while still active on a lease agreement.

An IMEI number assigned to the device(s) you are leasing may be entered into a database accessible by law enforcement agencies, wireless carriers, traders, buyers, and recyclers of mobile devices to confirm that any person attempting to trade, sell, or dispose of a device is the rightful owner.

Security features have been installed on your device which enable YOUR DEVICE RENTAL PROVIDER or its Providers to temporarily or disable the device remotely in the event it is lost or stolen and/or upon expiration or termination of your lease agreement (the "Technology"). You authorize YOUR DEVICE RENTAL PROVIDER or its Providers to:

Collect Device Data: ESN, UUID, MAC Address, MEID, IMEI, serial number, carrier, and operating system.
Remote Management: Disable the device if lost, stolen, or upon lease termination.
Prevention: Submit theft status to third-party databases to prevent unauthorized resale.

            NOTE: Except for the Collected Information, this service does not collect or record any electronic data regarding you or the use of your device. The service does not track the location of your phone.
        

In the event you purchase your device(s), please allow time for your Provider's policy for the IMEI registry to reflect the transfer of ownership. If a device is disabled, it will still be able to place emergency calls.
